Hey everyone! 🌞 I just wanted to let you know that I've decided to postpone the picnic—there seems to be a big event happening that I didn’t know about, and I want to make sure everyone has the best time possible! But don’t worry, the Detrash the Wabash cleanup is still on, and I’d love to see everyone there! Check out the previous post for all the details on how to sign up. Detrash the Wabash Clean-Up Event

Get ready for a fun and rewarding day! The ASCE MIB Sustainability Committee is diving into the De-trash the Wabash Event, and we want YOU to join us! 🌟

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 18th at 9 AM, and meet us at Tapawingo Park for a fantastic river restoration volunteer day. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make a difference while having a blast with your fellow ASCE members. Don’t forget to sign up on the event webpage and mention you’re with ASCE so we can all be in the same group!

Once you register, shoot me a quick message so I can keep track of who’s coming. Let’s get together, enjoy the outdoors, and give our beautiful Wabash River some much-needed love! See you there! 🎉🌊

Picnic Social @ Tapawingo Park

Get ready for a fun-filled day because we're having a picnic-style social at Tapawingo Park on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at noon! It's the perfect chance to relax with family and friends, enjoy some delicious snacks, and soak up the sunshine. I'll be bringing some refreshments, so let me know if you're coming so I can make sure we have enough for everyone!

This gathering is just the warm-up for our exciting De-Trash the Wabash River Clean Up happening on Saturday, October 18, 2025! Let's brainstorm some awesome plans together during our picnic and make a difference together. I’ll send out an update once the clean-up event is ready to go.

We are super excited to share details about our next fun-filled cleanup event, as mentioned at the sustainability luncheon! Join us for the KIB Plogging event at Guggman Haus. What’s plogging, you ask? It’s a fantastic way to combine jogging or walking with picking up trash, making it a workout for you and a win for the environment!

ASCE Metro Indy Branch August Luncheon

The MIB Sustainability Committee organized the August ASCE MIB Branch luncheon at the Nature Conservancy. The topic was IndyGo's zero-emission vehicle transition plan, with Ryan Wilhite presenting. Ryan started with a history lesson on Indianapolis' world-famous interurban traction terminal located at Illinois and Market, constructed in 1904. The limestone eagles that adorned the terminal are viewable outside the Indiana State Museum. The conversation on emerging technologies and possible plans of implementation was lively. Keep an eye out for the next sustainability event!
